Terra Batida is a network of people, practices and knowledge that contests ecological violence and the politics of abandonment; it is coordinated by Rita Natálio. On this Feminist School day, Terra Batida mobilizes the relations between ecology, transfeminism and language. There will be a performative reading by artist and researcher Rita Natálio, who proposes a re-reading of Lesbian Peoples: material for a dictionary by Monique Wittig and Sande Zeig (1976); an ecofeminist lecture by film and plant researcher Teresa Castro; and a performance by non-binary lesbian artist Alina Ruiz Folini who takes a stand on the question of deep listening, not only to the sensory properties of the sound of voice, breath and words, but also to lesbian and cuir sensibilities.

11 AM – 12:30 PM
RITA NATÁLIO (Portugal)
Performative reading of Spillovers, a tactile text, also presented as a sex manual or a sci-fi transfeminist essay.

2:30 PM – 4 PM
TERESA CASTRO (Portugal)
Conference Ecofeminism and the r(a)ise of the biotariat, which explores the prolific interweavings between eco-feminist activism and thought and the rise of a biotic-social class: the biotariat.

5 PM – 6:30 PM
ALINA RUIZ FOLINI (Argentina)
Performance Ruído Rosa, which emerges from the desire to de-hierarchize the relationship between seeing-saying-listening, so as to open narratives and mythologies through oral imagination.
